LONG, Charles (?1760-1838), of Trinton Hall, Suff.

Long was ‘a great favourite of Mr. Pitt’,Morning Post, 10 Mar. 1796. who brought him into Parliament for the Treasury borough of Rye and soon afterwards into office. His parliamentary career lies outside our period. He died 17 Jan. 1838, aged 77.
