Vereker succeeded to his father’s seat for Limerick when the latter became a peer of Ireland and, like him, was regarded as a supporter of government. He survived a contest then and in 1818. On 3 May 1819 he voted against Catholic relief. On 5 May he expressed his constituents’ hostility to the Irish window tax and voted against it. He was in the government majority on 18 May 1819, but made no other mark in Parliament. He was unseated on petition after the election of 1820. He died 20 Oct. 1865.
