In 1650, he purchased, for £12 16s, a fee farm rent in Mdx. worth £1 10s p.a.; in 1652, he purchased, for £459, two fee farm rents in co. Dur. worth £32 16s p.a.; in 1653, he purchased, for £6,863, 21 fee farms rents in Denb. worth £530 p.a.SP28/288, ff. 5, 55, 62. In 1652, he inherited Ridlington, the Rutland advowsons of Ridlington, Greetham, Horn and Market Overton and tithes of Merton (his fa. had already conveyed to him manor of Merton).PROB11/231, ff. 56v, 57; Northants.
