A little more may be added to the earlier biography.
Among Wood’s more prominent clients was the widowed Eleanor, Lady St. Amand, against whom he (along with William Brocas* and John Harris†) mounted in 1418 an apparently collusive challenge to her right to the advowson of the church of Kimpton, Hampshire, which she had retained for herself when granting the manor itself to her sister Elizabeth Lisle.
