Weston died at an unknown date between 1453 and 1458. On 6 Jan. 1458 his widow and executrix, Margaret, and his son and heir John, sued out royal pardons, probably to obtain exoneration from any payments to the Crown outstanding from William’s term of office as escheator. The two of them again obtained pardons, this time from Edward IV, in February 1462, in connexion with the administration of the MP’s will. C67/42, m. 38; 45, mm. 38, 45.
