A friend of the Prince of Wales and connected with the leaders of Opposition, Parkyns carried his election at Stockbridge against the Government; and voted against them in the House. In the Parliament of 1784-90 he is not known to have spoken, and he had no prominent part in the Opposition counsels.
He died v.p. 17 Nov. 1800.
