STRODE, William (c.1712-55), of Ponsbourne, Herts. and Mapledurham, Berks.

At the general election of 1754 Strode headed the poll at Reading, and was classed by Dupplin as Opposition. He had been gravely ill at the time of the electionHMC 5th Rep. 364-5. and died on 29 Apr. 1755.
