Curtis, a supporter of Pitt’s administration, was defeated at Saltash in 1784, and at Steyning, where he stood on the interest of and with Sir John Honywood, in 1790. They were seated on petition. He had made no mark in the House when he vacated his seat, probably to oblige his patron, in 1794. Nor did he seek re-election. He died 30 Nov. 1813, aged 62. His widow married, on 8 Apr. 1826, Frederick Langley.
