Griffith is easily confused with his father and his two nephews, all namesakes and active in local affairs. As a magistrate, he was jointly responsible for the county musters of 1587, and in the same year he denounced to the council the secret Welsh recusant printing press in Rhiwledyn cave.Jnl.
