EDGCUMBE, Hon. George (1720-95), of Mount Edgcumbe, nr. Plymouth, Devon.

George Edgcumbe was returned for Fowey by his father at a by-election in 1746. Re-elected in 1747, he was classed as a government supporter, but seems rarely to have attended owing to his absence at sea. He died 4 Feb. 1795.
