Noble, whose family had settled at Rearsby in the sixteenth century, was returned, presumably as a Tory, for Leicester at a by-election in 1719 in time to vote against the peerage bill. In Sunderland’s plans for the 1722 Parliament he is put down as to be replaced by Lawrence Carter at Leicester, but he did not stand again, dying 3 May 1730.
