Raynsford, connected, according to a family tradition, with the Knollys of Reading Abbey through the Lees of Ditchley Park, must have been returned at Callington by his master Cecil, from whom he received several wardships, the keepership of Cobham Hall and other spoils following the attainder of the 11th Lord Cobham. No trace of Raynsford’s membership of Parliament has been found in the journals. He was buried at St. Paul’s, Covent Garden 26 Jan. 1604.
