Perhaps the Thomas Birch who married, at St. George’s, Liverpool, 12 Sept. 1754, Eleanor Bushby, who was possibly the da. of Bernard Bushby of Whitehaven, Cumb., where this Thomas’s fa. had once lived (IGI). m. 6 Mar. 1786, Elizabeth Mary, da. of Benjamin Heywood, merchant banker, of Liverpool, 1s. surv. 3da. suc. fa. 1782. cr. bt. 30 Sept. 1831. d. 22 Aug. 1833.
