HULL, Robert, of Down Place, Surr.

Family and Education
m. Elisora (poss. Elizabeth Stonhurst alias Doune of Down Place).VCH Surr. iii. 19 suggests that the Elisora described in the inquisition post mortem of Brian Windsor as Hull’s wife (C136/108/52) was probably Elizabeth Stonhurst, the previous tenant of Down Place. In this case, Hull had made an extremely profitable marriage, for Elizabeth had extensive holdings to the south of Guildford in her own right.
