b. c. 1525, ?s. of Henry or William, both illegit. sons of George, 1st Earl of Huntingdon.Otherwise Hastings cannot be a close relative of Huntingdon, and probably came from that branch of the family which remained in Yorkshire when William, Lord Hastings, chamberlain to Edward IV, came south.
