As a Portsman, Parker could claim exemption from taxation for the land he held at Fairlight, Bexley and elsewhere near Hastings during the reign of Henry V. In May 1430 he put all his goods and chattels, both within and without the liberties of the Cinque Ports, into the safe-keeping of friends, including Thomas Julyan, but for what reason is unknown. He represented Hastings at seven Brodhulls held between May 1435 and April 1444.
