KENT, Sir Charles, 1st Bt. (?1743-1811), of Fornham St. Genevieve, Suff.

Kent, a neighbour and friend of the Duke of Grafton, was created a baronet on his recommendation,Grafton to Shelburne, 12 July 1782, Lansdowne mss. and was returned for Thetford on his interest. He voted on Richmond’s fortifications plan, 27 Feb. 1786, and on the Regency. There is no record of his having spoken in the House. He did not stand in 1790.

He died 14 Mar. 1811, aged 67.
