LEMON, John (1754-1814), of Truro, Cornw.

In 1784 Lemon was brought in for West Looe by his brother-in-law John Buller, to hold the seat till a suitable ministerial candidate was found. In Adam’s list of May 1784 he was classed as Administration, but he resigned before any vote of his was recorded. In 1786 Lemon was nominated by Buller at Saltash in opposition to the Treasury candidate, Lord Mornington. He was defeated, but in 1787 was returned on petition. His only recorded votes were against Pitt on the Regency. There is no record of his having spoken in the House before 1790.

He died 5 Apr. 1814.
