MILBANK, Mark (1795-1881), of Thorpe Perrow and Barningham Park, Yorks.

Milbank was returned for Camelford on the interest of his father-in-law Lord Darlington in 1818 and supported opposition, signing the requisition to Tierney to lead them. He was able to vote at least seven times with them, without speaking, before being unseated on petition in April 1819. He was restored to his seat at the next election. He was one of Creevey’s hosts and the latter reported instances of his humour, sportsmanship and domestic happiness.Creevey Pprs. ed. Maxwell, ii. 92.
