ACTON, William (c.1684-1744), of Bramford Hall, Suff.

Acton was descended from a wealthy Ipswich clothier, who bought the manor of Baylham, including Bramford, in 1626. A Tory, he voted consistently against the Government, did not stand again, and died 23 Jan. 1744.
