Returned in 1741 on the Ancaster interest for Boston, Bertie voted with the Administration in the division on the Hanoverians in 1742, but against them in that of 1744 and was absent from that of 1746, when he was classed as doubtful. Listed as Opposition in the next Parliament, he did not stand again. He died 13 Sept. 1768.
