Conyers, who bought Copt Hall, succeeded his father at East Grinstead in 1725 but was not re-elected till 1734. Presumably a Tory like his father and his brothers-in-law, Sir Charles Mordaunt and Sir Herbert Perrot Pakington, he was one of twelve Members who voted against the Westminster bridge bill in 1736.
