HUXLEY, George (c.1687-1744), of Stoke, Bucks.

Returned for Bedford in 1722, Huxley was made a commissioner of victualling in 1725. He lost his seat at the by-election but was brought in by the Government for Newport, voting with the Administration in all recorded divisions. In 1729 he became muster-master general with a salary of £800.Gent. Mag. 1739, p. 306. He died 19 July 1744.
