LEE, Sir Thomas, 3rd Bt. (1687-1749), of Hartwell, nr. Aylesbury, Bucks.

In 1619 the Lees, an old Buckinghamshire family, inherited Hartwell, sitting for the neighbouring borough of Aylesbury throughout the reigns of Charles II and William III. Lee himself represented Wycombe on his own and the Wharton interest until 1722, when he was returned for the county with the support of Sunderland and the ministry.Francis Sheldon to Sir John Pakington, 1721, Pakington mss 111/23. He was not a candidate in 1727, but was returned in 1729 and in 1734, after which he did not stand again. Though a Whig, all his recorded votes were against the Administration after 1715, except on the repeal of the Occasional Conformity and Schism Acts, 1719.

He died 17 Dec. 1749.
