LOWNDES, Richard (?1707-75), of Winslow, Bucks.

Lowndes, who had inherited considerable estates in Buckinghamshire, stood unsuccessfully for the county in 1734. Returned for it unopposed in 1741 and 1747 as a Tory, he voted consistently against the Pelham Administration.

He died 6 Oct. 1775.
